THE STYLE-LIST

LONDON FASHION WEEK A/W 2014

I apologise sincerely to all my fabulous fashionistas for bringing this report slightly late but I had to jet off to LA immediately post LFW. But it is the ONLY honest report so I know many of you have been waiting so I have found time to squeeze this in amongst the pre Oscar frenzy. I am literally sitting 5 minutes from The Dolby Theatre as I write this and will be bringing you all the news in my next blog.
THE FABULIST
Personally I felt LFW was not pretty just pretty poor. A little dull. Not many stand out collections. Mostly similiar dingy colours and ugly cuts. Compared to New York Fashion Week which consists of highly wearable stylish flattering collections London did not do itself proud.
King Julian

The most stylish Designers were from the Old School. The newcomers appeared very uninspiring.
JULIAN MacDONALD
Top of the Fabulist with a dazzling array of spectacular dresses. Sequinned artfully cut sexy dresses. Couture at its best. My seasonal party dresses will be courtesy of Julian the king of Red Carpet Dresses.
JASPER CONRAN
Jasper Conran
This veteran designer rolled out an impressive collection. Jasper is timeless and demonstrated that Autumn Winter clothes do not need to be dull. Checkout the bright orange wraparound coat to bring some sunshine into a Winters day. If this is too bright for you then there is always the palest nude pink dresses. Nice one Jasper !
Amanda Wakeley
AMANDA WAKELEY
Another seasoned Designer. Three words fluid, simple and sexy although not overtly. Can make all women look stylish. Amanda has designed the same way for years now she has a signature style thats why Celebrities and Royals alike have remained loyal over the years. Everyone should have an Amanda Wakeley in their wardrobe.

NOT ON THE LIST........

Barbara Casasola
BARBARA CASASOLA
Showed a little naivety in her second solo collection. The shapes were boxy and unflattering . More fashion led than style led. Definitely not a designer for stylistas to adopt.

TOM FORD

My undisputed king of style, Mr Style himself has landed on my z list with this collection. It seemed a little lazy and the clothes appeared not to have been fitted to the models. There was nothing exciting to report here except the cream pencil skirt with the black roll top sweater. Please Tom stick with the style factor and not the fashion forward. The bin liner dresses with your name on the front were particularly unattractive !
BURBERRY PRORSUM
Tribal Prints
Another House that has made my Style-List on a number of occasions. Again re hashing that perenial fashion favourite the tribal print. Nothing new not creative and dare I say ........rather a mess. See for yourself in the photo left >>>

So style followers tune in next week for my fashionblog from The Oscars -the winners and the losers......in the style stakes. Remember Jojo tells it as she sees it xxxxxx
